FAQ

How much of the proceeds from sales are going to Finishing the Task?

Identity in Christ is giving 50% of the business profits to a number of outreach christian charities, including Finishing the Task, Y-Malawi? and The Grove Center for the Arts.

Who is Finishing the Task?

Finishing the Task is an enabling ministry whose initial established goal is to see church planting movements initiated in the remaining 639 Unengaged, Unreached People Groups (UUPGs) in the world with a population of 100,000 or more. These are people groups with no known indigenous reproducing Church. We believe that the FTT vision will be carried out by local churches each embracing one or more of these UUPGs.

The principal FTT partners are committing major resources of manpower and tools, to serve the sponsoring local churches as they launch church planting movements among all of these remaining groups. This is a daunting task that will only be possible through the power of the Holy Spirit and the complete abandonment of these local churches along with the partnering agencies to radical obedience to the call. Each of the primary FTT partners will be contributing from their area of expertise to the effort from a base of more than 50,000 full time staff. Most of the targeted UUPGs are Oral Cultures. The strategies that will be used are designed for these oral cultures where in many cases no scripture yet exists in their mother tongue languages.

Who is Y-Malawi?

The Story - So Far
A group of churches in the USA have partnered with 5 dynamic Christian organizations in Malawi to create and test a revolutionary new model for development relief and missions. Together, they have focused on a group of villages comprising over 50,000 residents called NKhoma, located in one of the poorest regions of the country. The project has been launched and has big goals including sponsoring 2,500 children in the initial phase. Mission Trips have followed with church members and students working alongside the local ministry partners and the people of Nkhoma.

Who is the Grove Center for the Arts?

The Grove Center for the Arts was founded to create a national network of artists in the Church to support Christian arts and artists. With the recently launched grovefilms.com, an online short film repository equipping the church with meaningful, multimedia experiences and CreativEdge, a rapidly growing network of local Christian artists, The Grove Center for the Arts is poised to change the face of the arts in America for the future.

Is Identity in Christ a non-profit?

Identity in Christ has not sought non-profit status due to costs associated with administering a non-profit entity. Since Identity in Christ does not seek direct donations, the requirement for non-profit status in the future is questionable. However, the ownership is open to the possibility should it be required. Financial information is available through direct inquiry to info@fishemblem.com.
