Why a New Fish Emblem?
We have been asked by a number of people, "Why do we need a new car fish emblem?" or, "Isn't that trend over?"
Sometimes, those who have known Christ for years forget the excitement that comes with a new relationship with Him. Passionate and thankful for their new life in Christ, these new believers want to express themselves in a way that is consistent with thier personality and fitting for today's culture.
There are also others who just like cool new stuff. Like us.
After seeing a number of new car emblems pop up on the road (including one made famous by the big sunglass company) we believed it was time to update the fish.
Nearly 2000 years ago, members of Christ’s new worldwide movement would identify each other by drawing two intersecting arcs in the dirt that formed a crude fish. The significance of this symbol to the Christian community has remained to this day, used by millions to identify people as followers of Jesus Christ.
